Deadline: 31-Mar-22
Blackbird Foundation is seeking applications for the Protostars Grants Program for young, passionate wild hearts (18-25) working on passion projects in Australia or New Zealand.
In addition to the grant money, you’ll join a cohort of like-minded creatives as they work towards completing the passion projects. At the end of the program, they will host an exhibition designed to help get further support for your work, and showcase everything they achieve together.
Funding Information
Grants of up to $1,000 is available.
Eligibility Criteria
- You have to be aged between 18-25.
- The money needs to be used for some sort of project. Maybe you need to build a set for your theatre production. Perhaps you want to take people on a tour of The Dish in Parks, maybe you want to make a flying robot with your friends!
- Your project needs to be achievable before July 2022.
- You need to be located in Australia or New Zealand.
- If you are successful, you’ll join the community and share updates with them along the way. They are talking videos, photos, haikus, whatever works for you.
Criteria
Applications will be evaluated on three simple criteria:
- Creativity: How does your work showcase your originality, whether that be conventionally or not? How are you exploring your curiosities and passion?
- Conviction: How have you shown commitment to this passion? Built prototypes of your machine? Interviewed subjects for your podcast? Sketched a draft?
- Inspiration: Are you inspiring others to be creative along the way? Can you build and share in public to empower others? Will others follow in your footsteps?
