The Employment and Training Administration is seeking applications for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Indian and Native American Programs – Employment and Training Grants to support employment and training activities for Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian individuals in order to:
- develop more fully the academic, occupational, and literacy skills of such individuals;
- make such individuals more competitive in the workforce and equip them with the entrepreneurial skills necessary for successful self-employment; and
- promote the economic and social development of Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian communities in accordance with the goals and values of such communities.

- Estimated Total Program Funding: $71,000,000
- Award Ceiling: $6,500,000
- Award Floor: $15,000
Eligibility Criteria
The following organizations are eligible to apply:
- Federally recognized Indian tribes;
- Tribal organizations;
- Alaska Native-controlled organizations;
- Native Hawaiian-controlled organizations;
- Indian-controlled organizations;
- A consortium of eligible entities which meets the legal requirements for a consortium;
- State-recognized tribal organizations that meet the definition of an Indian-controlled organization and incumbent State-recognized tribes that meet the requirements; and
- Alaska Native-controlled organizations; Native Hawaiian-controlled organizations; and Tribal Colleges and Universities.
