The ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) is pleased to announce the 3rd ASEAN Energy Youth Awards (AEYA) to recognise young students’ valuable contributions to nation-building, sustainable development, and energy transition.
This award is jointly organised by ACE and Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), supported by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy (MOTIE) and Korea Energy Agency (KEA).
Thematical Areas
The theme of the 3rd award is “Accelerating Energy Transition towards Economic Recovery and Sustainable Growth.
Objectives
- To bring awareness and participation of youth in the promotion of the ASEAN plan of Action for energy Cooperation (APAEC) Phase II: 2021-2025.
- To encourage the participation of youth in the AMS in expressing their perspective and innovative ideas for enhancing energy access and affordability sustainably.
- To engage the youth sector by using their cretaivity and innovation to enhance the public awareness on clean energy, community building and sustainable environment.

Prize Details
The maximum numbers of the winners and runers-up which will be selected by BOJ, are as follows:
- University/College level
- Winner USD 1,000 – 1st Runner up (USD750), 2nd Runner up (USD500)
- Essay: 1 Winner, 2 Runners-up
- Infographic Poster : 1 Winner, 2 Runners-up
- Video : 1 Winner, 2 Runners-up
- Winner USD 1,000 – 1st Runner up (USD750), 2nd Runner up (USD500)
- High School level

Eligibility Criteria
- ASEAN Citizenship
- The awards are open to enrolled High School and University/College (Bachelor’s degree) students
- One applicant could only apply for one category
- The previous winners and runners-up are not allowed to submit entries to the same categories in this year’s Awards.
