The International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL) is pleased to invite proposals to develop and pilot an interactive online platform or application for civic space in West Africa.
The aim of the platform is to share information on civic space trends and promote collaboration and dialogue amongst civil society, media, and academics in West Africa. The platform should be bilingual in French and English.
Funding Information
- One grant will be awarded for an amount of up to $15,000 USD.
- The project must be completed no later than December 15, 2022.
Eligibility Criteria
- Proposals are welcome from registered non-profit organizations and networks operating in any West African country.
- The successful applicant will have a wide reach or membership of CSOs working on civic space issues, i.e., responding to threats or violations of the association, assembly, and expression rights of civil society in West Africa.
Selection Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on the following factors:
- Compliance with eligibility requirements and application procedures;
- Experience in the proposed project area;
- Ability to comply with grant requirements and deadlines;
- Quality of proposal, including innovation, feasibility and likely impact;
- Timeline for the project;
- Reasonableness and level of budget; vii. Reasonable indicator and clearly articulated project deliverables and impact; viii. Sustainability of the proposed project beyond the grant period.
