The Provincial Government is now accepting applications for the Community Enhancement Employment Program (CEEP), a provincially-funded program that provides short-term employment.
The Community Enhancement Employment Program provides funding to eligible sponsors including municipalities; Inuit Community Governments; local service districts; community and economic development organizations; and, other non-profit organizations. Individuals can be employed for up to 400 hours in order to become eligible for employment insurance benefits. In 2021-22, the program provided funding for 195 projects, supporting approximately 900 workers.
The department provides funding towards projects that contribute to tourism development, economic development, community/municipal infrastructure, and community services. The department also encourages project sponsors to develop projects that provide skills development opportunities for workers and ongoing benefits to the region.
Project sponsors must be established not-for-profit organizations or local governments. This includes towns, regional municipalities, Inuit community governments, local service districts, community or economic development organizations, and other not-for-profit organizations.
What types of projects does the CEEP fund?

Eligibility Criteria
