Deadline: 12-Nov-2025
The World Food Programme (WFP) has announced a call for expressions of interest for the 2026 SANAD Emergency Crises Response Safety Nets Project in the North Kordofan region of Sudan.
The focus areas of the project include Food Security and Cash Assistance. The expected results are that all targeted beneficiaries safely receive full cash-based transfers for 12 months and that resilience and local systems are strengthened for sustained safety nets.
This initiative is designed to provide immediate and structured support to communities affected by crises in North Kordofan. By addressing food insecurity and offering cash-based assistance, WFP aims to ensure that vulnerable households have access to essential needs while also promoting the recovery of local systems that support long-term stability.
The SANAD Emergency Crises Response Safety Nets Project represents WFP’s continued commitment to delivering humanitarian aid and fostering resilience in Sudan’s most affected regions. Through this program, the organization seeks to reduce dependency on emergency aid by strengthening community-led mechanisms that sustain social and economic well-being.
