Deadline: 12-Nov-2025
The World Food Programme (WFP) has launched a call for expressions of interest for the 2026 SANAD Emergency Crises Response Safety Nets Project in the Blue Nile region of Sudan.
The focus areas of the project include Food Security and Cash Assistance. The expected results are that all targeted beneficiaries safely receive full cash-based transfers for 12 months and that resilience and local systems are strengthened for sustained safety nets.
This initiative aims to provide critical support to vulnerable communities in the Blue Nile region, where humanitarian needs remain high due to ongoing crises and limited access to livelihood opportunities. Through this project, WFP seeks to ensure that affected households can meet their essential needs while building stronger community systems that enhance long-term stability.
The SANAD Emergency Crises Response Safety Nets Project underscores WFP’s commitment to improving food security and supporting resilience across Sudan. By offering cash-based assistance, the program promotes both immediate relief and the empowerment of local populations to manage future shocks more effectively.
