The World Food Programme (WFP) has announced a call for expressions of interest for the 2026 SANAD Emergency Crises Response Safety Nets Project in West Darfur, Sudan.
The focus areas of this initiative include Food Security and Cash Assistance. The project is designed to ensure that all targeted beneficiaries safely receive full cash-based transfers for 12 months while strengthening resilience and local systems for sustained safety nets.
Through this call, WFP aims to identify capable partners to implement activities that address the urgent food security needs of vulnerable communities in West Darfur. The initiative emphasizes the importance of building sustainable support systems that not only provide immediate relief but also contribute to long-term community resilience.
This project represents an opportunity for organizations working in humanitarian response and social protection to collaborate with WFP in improving the welfare of crisis-affected populations in Sudan. By focusing on cash-based assistance and system strengthening, the program seeks to empower communities with the resources and stability needed to recover and thrive.
