The Comhairle Contae County Council has announced the Arts Grant to support arts-related events, festivals, projects, regular arts activities, or collaborations happening in the county.
The focus areas, objectives, priorities, and themes are: to support public engagement with the Arts in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown throughout the County and in a variety of artforms, allowing the public to engage as participants, spectators, or collaborators.
The maximum amount that can be applied for is €5,000. Applicants can seek funding for events, festivals, or long-term projects that let the public experience the arts as spectators, participants, or collaborators, as well as regular arts activities such as amateur dramatic musical societies, choirs, writers groups, and collaborative or participatory projects between artists and community participants.

Applicants can only submit one Arts Grant and must declare if they are applying for funding from another Council Department.
Activities that are not eligible for funding include those outside Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, activities already receiving Council funding, commercial activities or charity fundraisers, international travel or college education, hire of Council premises, third-party grants, and assistance to cover loans or deficits. Late applications will not be considered.
Applications will be assessed based on the quality of past work, quality of the proposal including demonstrated benefit, and feasibility, including the ability to achieve on time and within budget. Proposals demonstrating greater need may also be prioritised. An online briefing session will be held on Monday, October 13, at 11 a.m. The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, October 24, 2025, at 5:30 PM.
