The Aboriginal Affairs NSW (AANSW) NAIDOC Grants Program 2026–2028 provides funding for community-led events across New South Wales that celebrate and recognise the histories, cultures, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples during NAIDOC Week.

Eligible Applicants
To apply, applicants must:

Deliver services to Aboriginal communities in NSW.

Be a not-for-profit organisation. Eligible entities include:

Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs).

Unincorporated Aboriginal groups with an eligible auspice organisation.

Incorporated not-for-profit organisations under State or Federal legislation that can demonstrate culturally safe delivery of projects in partnership with Aboriginal communities.

Be a legal entity located in NSW or a bordering community delivering services to Aboriginal communities in NSW.

Deliver proposed NAIDOC projects within NSW.

Hold current public liability insurance of at least $10 million per claim, or be willing to obtain it.

Have no outstanding obligations from previous Aboriginal Affairs NSW funding.
