The Field Hall Foundation is currently accepting applications for the 2020 Mini Grant program.
The Foundation provides grants to not-for-profits and local government for programs and projects that improve the lives of older adults and caregivers in Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester Counties, NY. Priority is given to those that focus on seniors’ and caregivers’ most basic needs.
Focus Areas
The Foundation funds programs and projects that directly impact low-income and vulnerable older adults and their caregivers in the following areas:
- Food insecurity
- Home-based care services
- Respite and support services for spouses/relatives caring for older adults at home
- Safety and security
- Social work/Case management
- Transportation options for older adults, caregivers, or home health aides
Funding Information
The Foundation will consider projects for the following types of grants:
- Small Grants, up to $15,000
- Project/program support
- Minor capital improvement projects
- Large Grants, more than $15,000
- Project/program support
Priority will be given to new projects and programs and organizations that have not previously been funded.
Limitations
The Foundation does not award grants to individuals or other foundations, or for general operating support, major capital projects, capacity building, scholarships, loans, or endowment funds.
Geographic Restrictions
Giving is limited to Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess Counties, NY.
Criteria
Potential grantees that fit into focus and geographical areas also need to meet the following criteria:
- Have an annual operating budget of at least $1 million.
- Have a full time, paid executive director.
- Have a board of directors with adequate scope of expertise (Not-for-Profit organizations).
- Have a history of providing direct services to elders and/or their caregivers in geographical area, or have an interest in expanding a program to geographical area.
