Deadline: 14-Nov-2025
The Greggs Foundation offers Community Grants to support local not-for-profit organisations working to strengthen and uplift their communities.
The programme provides funding of up to £20,000 per year for up to two years, helping organisations improve the wellbeing, resilience and opportunities of people experiencing disadvantage. The grants are intended to support community-led responses to local needs, particularly in places facing social and economic challenges.
Eligible organisations must be not-for-profit and located within one of the Foundation’s geographical focus areas, which change from round to round. These focus areas are published on the Foundation’s website and promoted on social media at the opening of each funding round. Priority is given to organisations operating in areas close to a Greggs Outlet or in neighbourhoods where there is clear evidence of need. Applicants are also expected to demonstrate that their work aligns with Greggs Foundation’s Theory of Change, which emphasises community cohesion, wellbeing and improved life chances.
The Foundation places emphasis on supporting organisations that are addressing direct needs within the community, providing food and basic support, helping to reduce social isolation, and building knowledge, confidence and opportunities for local people. Successful applicants are typically rooted in the community they serve, understand the challenges faced by local residents, and are delivering activities that make a tangible and positive difference.
With its community grants, the Greggs Foundation seeks to strengthen the role of grassroots organisations, help reduce hardship and inequality, and create supportive, connected communities where people feel valued and able to thrive.
