The Environment and Climate Change Fund aims to contribute to sustainable wealth creation and poverty reduction in Rwanda, through sustainable management of natural resources, climate resilient and green economic growth.
The fund has a particular interest in line ministries and districts, charitable and private entities, including businesses, civil society and research institutions.
FONERWA is the Rwanda ‘green’ fund. It is a cross sectoral financing mechanism for environment and climate change initiatives that further Rwanda’s development objectives for environmentally sustainable, climate resilient and green economic growth.
