Deadline: 10-Oct-2025
Women-mothers from the Sumy region who are raising children and providing for their families alone can now apply for financial assistance in the form of a Micro-grant to start or develop their own small business.
The goal of this project is to support local residents and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Sumy region by providing financial assistance to selected participants in developing their own small businesses in order to provide them with sustainable livelihoods.
Grants will be provided to individuals with the mandatory condition of opening a sole proprietorship. Each grant will amount to up to 4,500 US dollars, and a total of 13 participants will receive support under this program. The financial assistance will be provided in the form of a non-refundable grant, based on approved business plans.
Local residents and internally displaced women who are registered in the Sumy region and are raising children on their own are eligible to participate in this opportunity. This includes single mothers, widows, divorced women without any support from their husband, as well as married women whose husbands are disabled and whose families are completely supported by them.
To ensure fair selection, a competition committee will be formed to review the received applications and select the winners who will receive financial support for the implementation of their business plans. The committee will evaluate and select applications in accordance with the specified criteria.
During the selection process, participants will also receive ongoing mentoring to help them develop their business ideas and implement them effectively. The amount of financial support will vary depending on the participant’s request and the decision of the commission.
Women interested in participating can register for the program until October 10.
