The Women Fund Tanzania (WFT Trust) invites applications for grants under the Renewed Women’s Voices and Leadership Project (RWVL-T) to advance the rights of women, girls, and children. Funding supports leadership, advocacy, movement building, economic and environmental justice, and reproductive health initiatives led by women’s rights and young feminist organisations in Tanzania.
About the Fund
The Registered Trustees of Women Fund Tanzania (WFT Trust) is the first national feminist fund in Tanzania, established to support women, girls, and children. It focuses on achieving long-term feminist gains by addressing unequal power relations, gender-based inequalities, and systemic oppression. The fund provides financial support to women’s rights organisations, girls’ and children’s rights organisations, and other social justice movements to amplify voices, strengthen collective organising, and drive transformative social change.
The initiative is implemented in partnership with Msichana Initiative and Cuso International, with support from Global Affairs Canada, under the Renewed Women’s Voices and Leadership Project (RWVL-T). The project is a five-year programme (2025–2030) aimed at strengthening local women’s rights organisations and young feminist-led organisations through capacity building, advocacy, and sustainable programming.
