Deadline: 12-Dec-2025
The Queensland Gives (QG) Regional Sub Funds were established to create a perpetual source of charitable funding dedicated to supporting communities across specific regions within Queensland.
Projects supported may cover a broad range of areas including community wellbeing, health, arts and culture, animal welfare, children and youth, education, environment, Indigenous initiatives and religion, provided they meet criteria such as clearly identified budgets, sustainability beyond the funding period, and benefit a large number of people.
The Queensland Gives grants program aims to support eligible charitable organisations providing services in each region. These sub funds are administered by the Public Trustee of Queensland as trustee, with donations pooled and invested to generate sustainable income. Each year, a percentage of the net income becomes available for granting purposes, ensuring ongoing community benefit. Through this initiative, Queensland Gives provides financial assistance to charitable organisations delivering vital services and programs across local areas.
Applications are invited for grants ranging between $5,000 and $30,000. In addition, organisations must have an annual revenue under $5 million and must be based in Queensland, ensuring that all grant funds are directed to benefit communities within the applied region.
Eligible applicants must be charitable organisations that hold Deductible Gift Recipient Item 1 (DGR1) status as confirmed by the Australian Taxation Office. This funding opportunity aims to strengthen local charitable efforts by providing steady, region-specific financial support that addresses community needs and enhances service delivery.
