Deadline: 21 November 2025
The ActionAid Hellas has been launched to support inclusive youth participation and peer education in Greece.
The initiative aims to empower young people, particularly those from socially and geographically marginalized areas, to engage as active citizens addressing global challenges such as poverty, climate change, and gender discrimination. By supporting grassroots civil society organizations, the program seeks to strengthen local capacities and foster meaningful connections between local and global issues.
The fund focuses on projects that promote the inclusion of less engaged youth through innovative approaches, emphasizing interdisciplinary studies, digital storytelling, and non-formal education. Collaboration and learning among stakeholders are encouraged, alongside initiatives that prioritize gender equality and the empowerment of young women and girls. Projects targeting rural or degraded urban areas, or young people with a migrant background, are particularly welcomed.
A total budget of €15,000 is available, with individual grants of €5,000 expected to be awarded to three projects. Eligible applicants include civil society organizations and youth groups with official legal status, based in Greece for at least two years, and operating as non-profit organizations. Applicants must have an annual budget of less than €100,000 and demonstrate financial and operational capacity to implement their proposed activities.
This funding opportunity provides a platform for innovative, pilot, and cross-cutting projects that address multiple forms of discrimination and adopt inclusive approaches. By prioritizing marginalized communities and fostering creative educational methodologies, the program aims to make a tangible impact on youth engagement and social inclusion in Greece.
