The Border Management Programme in Central Asia is excited to announce the BOMCA 10 Boot Camp, funded by the European Union, aimed at strengthening the capacities of civil society organisations (CSOs) in Central Asia.
The programme will equip NGOs with the tools to effectively design and implement projects that benefit vulnerable populations in the region. This 5-day intensive training will guide participants through the entire project cycle—from formulating successful strategies for project award to execution and evaluation.
The goal of the Boot Camp is to empower civil society in Central Asia, enabling organisations, especially those working in Central Asian border regions, to create a tangible impact on local communities. By the end of the Boot Camp, participants will have developed viable project ideas that they can take forward.

Eligibility Criteria
- They invite applications from NGOs in Central Asia working in areas that align with the objectives of the Boot Camp. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Geographical Scope:
- The applicant organisation must be based in one of the following Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Uzbekistan, and work in the border regions of their respective countries.
- Target Group Focus:
- The organisation must be focused on working with vulnerable groups within the local population.
- Project Relevance:
- The organisation should have a demonstrated interest in developing new project ideas or enhancing existing ones to create positive change in the local community.
- Experience and Capacity:
- The organisation should have some experience in managing and implementing projects but may benefit from enhanced skills in project design, strategy development, and evaluation.
- Commitment:
- The organisation must be able to commit to attending the full 5-day Boot Camp and engaging in the activities and workshops.
- Fluency in English or Russian:
- Since the training will be conducted in both English and Russian, participants must be proficient in at least one of these languages.
