The Department of the Premier and Cabinet, through Multicultural Affairs, invites applications for the Expand Together Grants to support multicultural organisations in enhancing facilities and equipment for South Australia’s culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
The Expand Together Grants provide one-off funding to eligible multicultural organisations to purchase equipment and upgrade, extend or build community facilities for use by South Australia’s culturally and linguistically diverse communities. The Expand Together Grants aim to ensure there are necessary facilities and equipment for community members to come together, access the services and programs they need, and connect with the wider local community network.
The Expand Together Grants program is designed to foster inclusion and community connection by ensuring that multicultural communities have access to appropriate spaces and resources. By supporting facility improvements and essential equipment purchases, the initiative promotes participation, cohesion, and wellbeing among South Australia’s diverse population.
Funding of up to $100,000 is available for eligible multicultural organisations to deliver projects over a 12-month period. Applicants requesting more than $50,000 must provide matched funding to demonstrate shared investment in the initiative. This approach encourages collaboration and sustainability within the community.
To qualify, organisations must be non-government and not-for-profit, and incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 1985, registered as an Australian Public Company Limited by Guarantee, a Statutory Authority established through an Act, or registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission with comparable legal status. All applicants must hold a valid Australian Business Number and be based in South Australia. In addition, they must provide satisfactory evidence that their core purpose is to deliver initiatives, services, or support for culturally and linguistically diverse communities across the state.
Through the Expand Together Grants, South Australia reaffirms its commitment to empowering multicultural organisations and enhancing their ability to deliver inclusive services and strengthen community bonds.
