Deadline: 24-Nov-2025
Applications are now open for Youthtown Trust Grant Program to empower young people and supporting charitable causes across New Zealand through responsible and professional grant distribution.
The focus areas include any charitable organisation that furthers or improves local and national educational services, furthers or improves local and national amateur sport, promotes the advancement of culture or religion, or contributes toward welfare assistance or the relief of poverty; any charitable organisation that provides a benefit (direct or indirect) for youth; not-for-profit groups incorporated as a charitable organisation or an association promoting charitable purposes; incorporated regional and community not-for-profit groups in the areas where the funds were generated; and any amateur sports organisation which is an incorporated regional or community not-for-profit group affiliated with a recognised national body.
Organisations are allowed one successful grant application per year unless the Grants Committee (for grants up to $50,000) or the Board (for grants over $50,000) decides otherwise. Local or regional bodies may still apply even if a national organisation has already received funding.
Youthtown Trust is one of New Zealand’s oldest and most respected not-for-profit organisations, with a proud history of developing and supporting young people. Its work is made possible through a strong network of gaming venues across the country. Net proceeds from gaming machines operated at these venues are pledged to support Youthtown’s mission and are distributed to make positive youth development a reality.
The Trust operates its Class 4 gaming responsibly and professionally, supporting hundreds of worthy causes each year, including Youthtown’s own youth services. All funded initiatives share a common goal — to help young people raise their aspirations, realise their potential, and have their achievements recognised.
