Deadline: 24-Oct-2025
The Dún Laoghaire‑Rathdown Sports Partnership has opened applications for its 2026 Club Participation Grant Scheme, offering vital support to local sports clubs and organisations that pursue inclusive, community‑driven initiatives.
The scheme is designed to help clubs expand access to sport and physical activity, especially among groups whose participation has been limited in the past—women and girls, people living with disability, and communities in disadvantaged areas.
Through this grant, clubs can apply for funding in three areas: programmes specifically for women in sport, initiatives to increase participation by people with disabilities, and training and development for coaches, volunteers, or administrators. The grant aims not just to kickstart new projects but to foster long-term sustainability and inclusivity.
Clubs based within the Dún Laoghaire‑Rathdown county, operating on a not‑for‑profit basis and affiliated with a recognized national sports governing body or disability organisation, are eligible to apply, provided they meet governance, financial, and inclusion criteria. Applicants must demonstrate clear plans, realistic budgets, and show how the project will benefit participants and the wider community.
The maximum amount a club can receive is €2,500, and applicants who can show additional funding support or in‑kind contributions will be viewed more favourably. Awards will be made via a competitive process, with 75 % of funds released upon approval and the remaining 25 % once the required reports and evaluation documents are submitted.
This grant programme represents an opportunity for grassroots clubs to build capacity, attract new members, and improve their infrastructure. For many clubs, especially in underserved areas, this support can be transformative—helping them reach new potential and deepen their impact in local communities.
