The Women in ICT Foundation has launched a call for award nominations for International Conference for Women Leaders and Lifetime Achievement Award to promote women’s sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own choices, and their right to influence social change for themselves and others.
International Conference for Women Leaders and Lifetime Achievement Awards is a quadrennial (every four years) event inspiring women leaders and upcoming aspirants. The conference includes keynotes, reflective conversations, panels, and presentations while we reflect, rejuvenate, and inspire each other and develop practice as leaders for today and tomorrow.
More than 160 Women and Men will be honoured with a lifetime achievement award. Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest and most coveted award to be given this year. Its large International Participation will provide excellent opportunities for global sharing of expertise, best practice and valuable new professional contact from around the world.
Areas
The Lifetime Achievement Award is intended for individuals with at least four (4) years of documented accomplishments who have had a significant impact on a large number of individuals and organizations in twelve critical areas of concern namely:
- Women and poverty
- Education and training of women
- Women and health
- Violence against women
- Women and armed conflict
- Women and the economy
- Women in power and decision-making
- Institutional mechanism for the advancement of women
- Human rights of women
- Women and the media, Women and the environment and the girl-child.
Criteria
This year’s conference will host more than 100 key players in the political, economic, and social arenas from around the world, including ministers, state governors and their wives, members of parliament, heads of national and international organizations, non-profit leaders as well as international NGO’s.
