Deadline: 31-Jan-25
The Embassy of Japan in Mozambique is seeking applications for its Community Projects Assistance Program.
The Japanese Government recognizes the importance of two grassroots development projects that can directly benefit local populations. For this purpose, the government of Japan created the assistance program for community projects (APC), in addition to assistance for the governments of two countries in development and international institutions. APC is intended to respond to different development needs quickly and completely, in order to directly support community organizations such as non-governmental organizations (NGOs), schools and local governments.
Priority Areas
- The priority areas aim to improvise basic human needs (NBH) such as Education, Health, Water and Sanitation.
Funding Information
- In general, the amount of funding per project is 10 million US dollars. Any project that exceeds the budget of 3,000,000 euros must be audited by an external auditor and the costs may be included in the total budget.
Eligibility Criteria
- Beneficiaries choose APC as non-profit organizations that implement grassroots development projects. For example, national and intentional NGOs. In the event of extraordinary circumstances (such as disasters or post-conflict relief), national and international government organizations are not eligible for the APC. Neither individuals nor organizations with lucrative purposes only choose APC.
