Nominations open for Rural Action Awards in the UK

Nominations are now open for the Rural Action Awards.

The Awards offer rural community-based organisations in Northern Ireland or the border region of Ireland the opportunity to apply towards their volunteer led community action project.

The scheme seeks to support practical, tangible and timebound projects.

• £1000 or €1000

Eligibility Criteria

• The scheme is open to constituted rural community-based organisations including charities, not for profit community groups, sporting and cultural organisations, heritage groups, Parent Teacher Associations, youth groups/clubs and social enterprises.
• Applications must be made from bona fide rural community organisations. Evidence of governing document i.e. constitution will be required before any award can be made.
• Groups must be based in rural Northern Ireland or the border region of Ireland. For the purposes of this scheme, rural is defined as settlements with a population of 5,000 or less.
• Groups from all sectors are welcome to enter provided there are no political links.
