The Nuffic is launching an Opportunity for Dutch training providers to organise a training ‘Digital Economy Transition for Youth-led Businesses in Lebanon’ as part of the MENA Scholarship Programme.
Funding Information
- For each single country call, there is a maximum budget of 75.000 Euro.
- As Lebanon has 2 open calls, the total budget for Lebanon is 150.000 Euro.
Topic of the requested training

Suggested topics:
- Online revenue generation streams.
- Internal process/operational transformation.
- Digitally-enabled sustainable business models.
- Internal culture transformation and hybrid work.
- Customer experience.
- Digital customer acquisition.
- Distribution models.
- Building synergies among the selected youth-led businesses and with the private sector which is a main player in the local economy.

Suggested criteria:
- Provision of in-country digital economy transition training to 1 or 2 representatives of 7 youth-led businesses in start-up to growth stages (registered and generating revenues for at least 18 months and up to 36 months).
- Provision of tailored coaching sessions (hybrid or online) to each of the 7 businesses in the above category to guide their digital transition.
- Provision of in-country digital economy transition training to 7 youth-led businesses in more mature stages (registered and generating revenues for 37 months and above).
- Provision of tailored coaching sessions (hybrid or online) to each of the 7 businesses in the above to category guide their digital transition.
Eligibility Criteria
This call is open for Dutch training providers who:
- Have a track record of providing training in the suggested topics.
- Have experience in the region.
- Are interested in giving training in Lebanon and online.
- Are interested in customising training for youth led businesses, meaning that at least one partner is 18-35 years old.
- Agree with the Grant Conditions.
Selection Criteria
- Priority is given to social businesses, then to other businesses that contribute to improved environment, societies, etc. but do not fall under the social business category, and finally to regular businesses.
- Businesses must be registered in Lebanon.
- Businesses must be youth led, meaning that least one partner is 18-35 years old.
- Businesses must be at the early stages of digital transformation.

- Outreach to businesses can be supported by the embassy of the Netherlands in Lebanon.
- The Dutch training provider must coordinate the design of selection criteria with the embassy.
- The embassy will take part in the selection process of the businesses.
