The Smart City Expo World Congress is seeking nominations for its prestigious World Smart City Award where pioneering city strategies, projects and ideas are recognised based on innovation, impact and feasibility.
Winners will be announced at the World Smart City Awards on November 15th in a ceremony that attracts an audience of more than 1,000 key public and private decision makers, providing an excellent opportunity to gain prestige and visibility.
The WSCA have been established in order to identify cities, projects and innovative ideas that are promoting sustainable development in urban areas around the world, as well as stimulating inclusive, equitable, safe, healthy and collaborative cities, thus enhancing quality of life for all.
Categories
- City Award: Cities that demonstrate established strategies, initiatives and policies developed for its citizens.
- Project Award: Implemented projects that are already benefitting inhabitants in a specific smart city area.
- Innovative Idea Award: Innovative, bottom-up concepts that aim to achieve sustainable integrated development in cities and can demonstrate feasibility of implementation.

Eligibility Criteria
The World Smart City Awards are aimed at both public and private sector, cities, businesses, entrepreneurs, startups, digital innovators, developers, research centers, universities, civic techs, civil society representatives, non-governmental organizations, cooperatives, consortiums (public-private) and social activists, with innovative ideas, researches, analyses, studies, visions and solutions for the management and development of our cities.
