The MED-Y.C.I Programme invites 200 young people (ages 18–30) from select Mediterranean regions to participate in a fully funded learning programme focused on audiovisual storytelling, digital creativity, and civic engagement. The MED-Y.C.I Programme provides young people with an innovative, practical learning experience that combines digital creativity, audiovisual storytelling, and civic engagement. It aims to:

Programme Structure

The MED-Y.C.I Programme is delivered in two phases:

Phase 1: Co-Creation and Online Working Groups (April–May 2026)

• Small in-person co-creation labs in each participating country (five participants per country)

• Online working groups for collaborative planning and discussion

• Activities include:

  • Identifying key Mediterranean challenges

  • Collaborating with experts and artists

  • Shaping the pedagogical content of the training pathway

Phase 2: National Training Cycles (Summer 2026)

• National training in France, Spain, Türkiye, Tunisia, and Egypt with over 200 participants

• Activities include:

  • Workshops on audiovisual storytelling, digital production, and media creation

  • Peer-to-peer transnational exchanges to develop strategic recommendations

  • Collaborative projects addressing Mediterranean challenges

  • Mentorship from experts and artists to strengthen civic engagement, employability, and active citizenship

Training mostly occurs locally, but selected participants may join international exchanges or regional events depending on programme developments.

• Reside in eligible Euromed regions; in Egypt: Matruh, Alexandria, Behera, Kafr-el-Sheikh, Sharkia, Dakahlia, Damietta, Ismailia, Port Said, or Cairo Governorate

• Have diverse educational or professional backgrounds, including informal learning experiences

• Include NEET youth and young people with limited access to opportunities
