The Ajinomoto Scholarship Foundation, in partnership with Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation, offers a fully funded scholarship for Filipino students to pursue a master’s degree or research program in Food Technology, Nutrition, Chemistry, or Engineering at top universities in Japan.

The program aims to cultivate future leaders in Asia who will contribute to scientific advancement and societal development.
Scholarship Benefits

Monthly allowance: ¥180,000 for master’s students (up to 2 years), ¥150,000 for research students (up to 1 year)

Academic coverage: Examination, admission, and tuition fees

Pre-departure support: Medical and psychological examinations, Japanese language training

Airfare: Round-trip from the Philippines to Japan

Duration: Up to 3 years (1 year research + 2 years master’s; Waseda University: 2-year master’s)
Eligibility
Applicants must:

Be a Filipino citizen under 35 as of April 1, 2026

Have completed or expected to complete >15 years of education before March 2026

Rank in the top 5% of their class or have a GWA ≤1.25

Demonstrate good character, academic excellence, motivation, financial need, and good physical and mental health

Not currently hold another scholarship
