The ASEAN–ROK Cooperation Fund supports collaborative projects that strengthen strategic partnerships, promote regional integration, and address shared development priorities between ASEAN Member States and the Republic of Korea.
Purpose and Objectives

Enhance strategic partnerships and cooperation between ASEAN and ROK

Support initiatives that advance regional integration, sustainable development, and ASEAN Community building

Prioritise sectors such as public health, education, culture and tourism, economic cooperation, environment and climate, safety and peace, and resilience-building

Ensure alignment with ASEAN–ROK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific, and the ASEAN–ROK Plan of Action

Promote long-term, inclusive regional impact and institutional linkages
Project Framework

Proposals can be submitted through the Annual Call for Project Proposals or the Special Track mechanism for urgent or emerging regional issues

Projects must demonstrate strategic relevance, measurable outcomes, feasibility, sustainability, and budget soundness

Key roles: the Proponent (project initiator) and the Implementing Agency (IA) responsible for executing approved projects; the proponent can also serve as the IA

Strong emphasis on coordination among ASEAN sectoral bodies and Korean counterparts

Projects should generate long-term benefits, maintain visibility of ASEAN–ROK cooperation, and strengthen knowledge sharing and partnerships
