The Kosovo Foundation for Open Society (KFOS) is currently inviting non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Kosovo to apply for project proposals in these areas:
- European integration;
- Higher education; and
- Increase the transparency and accountability of governmental organizations at all levels.
Financing Areas
- In the field of European Integration, proposals for dealing with:
- Advocacy for embracing European values in public administration reform, which may include, but is not limited to, analysis and research;
- Establishing systems for monitoring progress in the European integration process.
- In the field of Higher Education, the following proposals will be considered:
- Raising transparency and accountability in higher education institutions, which may include, but are not limited to, relevant analysis and research;
- Mobilizing Student Movements, Academic Staff and NGOs working towards improving the situation in higher education;
- Raising the influence of well-organized and prepared groups that independently and enthusiastically monitor the higher education.
- In the area of Increasing Transparency and Accountability, proposals for dealing with:
- Monitoring of public procurement at the local and central level, including, but not limited to, identification and testimony of cases of flagrant violations in procurement
- Increasing transparency in the field of public procurement through initiatives aimed at reforming this system, including, but not limited to, open data; using and analyzing open data from local and national government, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations eligible to apply include all non-governmental organizations in Kosovo registered under applicable law in Kosovo.
- Organizations that are excluded from this call for applications include:
- Individuals;
- Political parties; and
- Organizations who intend to finance funding for religious activities.
How to Apply
- To apply, organizations should send:
- form of grant grant application;
- CVs of Project Implementing Staff;
- form of disclosure of conflict of interest;
- a copy of the organization’s registration certificate;
- a preliminary working portfolio in the field for which they are applying.
