The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund is accepting applications to support the prevention and treatment of acute malnutrition among the most vulnerable children under five years of age and pregnant and breastfeeding women in the Gaza Strip.
This call for proposals is to support the delivery of food system solutions that will support malnutrition prevention (stunting and wasting) alongside essential treatment activities for severe and moderate wasting and nutritional oedema among children under five years of age in the Gaza Strip.

Expected Outcomes
- Ministry of Health and key stakeholders strengthen nutrition-related policies and institutional capacity to deliver quality, gender sensitive essential nutrition services for infants, children, adolescents, pregnant and breastfeeding women (PBW), with a focus on disadvantaged groups including awareness on nurturing care at family level.
- Output 1: The most vulnerable and displaced children and PBW and have improved access to maternal and child health and nutrition preventative services through the One-stop IYCF approach.

- Breastfeeding Support (early initiation, exclusive breastfeeding, and continuous breastfeeding)
- Complementary Feeding
- Health and hygiene education in collaboration with Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH)
- Psychosocial Support in collaboration with MHPSS and Child Protection
- Micronutrient Supplementation 6. Nutrition Cash Top-Up and Multipurpose Humanitarian Cash Transfers.
