The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is accepting proposals for the Acceleration Program and Innovation Challenge.
Objectives
- This Call for Proposals aims to select an NGO/CSO as a Responsible Party to support the implementation of the Greennovation BOOST in close cooperation with UNDP Georgia. The Greennovation BOOST consists of the acceleration program and innovation challenge focusing on the private sector digital and green transformation in the Poti and Khobi municipalities.
- The efforts envisaged are anticipated to result in at least 30 businesses participating in the acceleration program, with at least 10 initiatives receiving further support from the project. The project is expected to be completed within 15 months in Poti and Khobi municipalities. The implementation partner will:
- Support UNDP Georgia in organising the Greennovation BOOST call, including its promotion, participant selection, outreach to relevant stakeholders and vulnerable communities, and the onboarding event;
- Design and deliver training curricula for the Greennovation BOOST acceleration program – “Greening the Business Acceleration and Digital Transformation Module” – for at least 30 businesses, including developing materials, selecting trainers and mentors and mentoring;
- Select, distribute awards and mentor the implementation of at least 10 selected solutions;
- Final report on the summary of the results and impact reached through the program.
Funding Information and Duration
- The proposed amounts should range to a maximum of USD 250,000, including the distribution of USD 180,000 (At least 10 Solutions Implementation Awards, with budgets averaging USD 18,000 each, and no less than USD 10,000 per award and no more than 25,000 per award). Project duration will not exceed 15 months
Eligibility Criteria
- Interested NGOs/CSOs must meet the following criteria to be qualified for the selection:
- Entities registered in Georgia for at least five years (non-governmental, non-profit).
- Minimum three years of proven experience in the fields of innovations or start-up ecosystem development, business acceleration, or green transformation, including through the development and implementation of sustainable business models, circular solutions, energy efficiency or renewable energy solutions, or green trends management – (minimum requirement) within last 7 years (through 2018-2024); (In the case of JV/Consortium/Association, lead party should meet requirement);
- At least two similar successfully completed assignments within the last seven years (through 2018-2024), specifically involving support/mentoring/acceleration for businesses in applying sustainable practices. The proposal should include references and examples of relevant past work, demonstrating expertise in sustainability-driven initiatives (minimum requirement) within last 7 years; (In the case of JV/Consortium/Association, all parties cumulatively may meet the requirement);
- The organisation shall have an average annual turnover of at least 100,000 USD during the last three years (through 2021-2023); (In the case of JV/Consortium/Association, all parties cumulatively may meet the requirement);
