Do you want to create jobs for youth, are you ready to scale up rapidly and are you looking for co-funding? If yes, then this call is for you! The Challenge Fund for Youth Employment (CFYE) is calling upon Sudan-based organizations either from or focusing on the private sector or for solutions.
Call for Solutions
- Projects presented should show a clear pathway to job creation or improvement, whether the focus is on improving the supply of labor, creating more labor demand, matching youth to decent jobs, or – in combination with any of the previous criteria – sustaining jobs at risk. The comments, based on the own scoping research; can serve as guidelines for applicants while designing their ideas. Projects ideas that fall outside the scope outlined below will also be considered.
- Creating new jobs:
- Medium-skilled jobs in growth sectors;
- Digitization across sectors;
- Matching jobs.
- Improving jobs:
- Living income/wage;
- Security in the workplace;
- Social protection for families;
- Prospects for personal development and social integration;
- Equality of opportunity and treatment.

- Services:
- Digital Business Support Services;
- Hospitality and Food Services.
- Agriculture;
- Manufacturing.
Eligibility Criteria
- Objective:
- Does the applicant wish to submit a request for a grant for a project to create, match and/or improve decent employment for youth aged 18 to 35?
- Consortium:
- Are applicants or one of their consortium partners a private sector company? And are applicants or one of their consortium partners operating in Sudan?
- Size of project:
- Will the project match, create or improve decent employment for at least 250 youth? Will at least half of this employment be for young women?
- Is the grant that applicants are requesting €100,000 or more? And will the applicant or one of their partners be co-investing at least the same amount?
