The United Nations Development Programme office in Peru, within the framework of the project “Sumaq Justice: A Justice of Peace in the Face of Violence”, invites women’s groups or organizations at the regional, provincial, district or communal level to present a social innovation initiative being implemented in the regions of Huancavelica, Junín and Cajamarca, aimed at strengthening female leadership linked to the prevention and response to gender-based violence, in order to enhance their processes, give visibility to their relevant actors and contribute to their sustainability.
Funding Information
- UNDP will support 3 winning initiatives that will have the amount of $2,000.00 (two thousand dollars) each, which will be used only to finance the proposal.
Eligibility Criteria
- Women’s groups or organizations at the regional, provincial, district or communal level:
- They must have experience or proven track record in strengthening women’s leadership and combating violence against women and family members in rural areas.
- Those interested in developing or strengthening, over a four-month period, an initiative linked to their work, aimed at preventing or improving the treatment of violence against women and family members in rural areas, promoting coordination with the justice of the peace.
Group U Commitments Winning Organization
- The winning group or organization must consent to photographic and audiovisual recording of their initiative in order to make it visible.
- Participate in support sessions with the Sumaq Justicia technical team is mandatory for the transfer of the prize.
- UNDP will request detailed information on the implementation of the initiative. The winning organization agrees to submit the necessary documentation to support its implementation according to the submitted schedule and budget.
- The winning group or organization agrees to participate in audit meetings conducted by UNDP to verify effective compliance with expenditures
- The allocated budget amount must be used entirely and solely for expenses related to the implementation of the initiative.
