The 2025 Feasibility Support Program for Rural Investments is now open for applications to support feasibility studies of projects that will improve Ankara’s innovation and entrepreneurship capacity and can be transformed into investments in the short and medium term.
Purpose
- In line with the vision of the 2024-2028 Ankara Regional Plan and within the scope of the priorities and measures of the plan;
- To benefit from important opportunities for Ankara’s development and competitiveness,
- To prevent threats and risks to the Ankara economy,
- The main purpose of the program is to support feasibility studies of projects that can be converted into investments in the short/medium term for projects aimed at developing Ankara’s innovation and entrepreneurship capacity. However, studies that are not directly aimed at implementation and cannot be projected, such as purely academic reports and research, analysis, mapping, inventory and strategic plan studies, will not be considered within the scope of the program.
Priorities
- Supporting entrepreneurship and diversifying the rural economy by developing innovative production and income models in Ankara sub-regions,
- Identifying villages with suitable infrastructure in the sub-regions of Ankara and building digital villages in these villages that connect communities in rural areas through digital solutions within the concept of “Digital Village”,
- Transitioning to technology-based production, organization and marketing processes in agriculture and agriculture-based industry and encouraging digital transformation in these sectors,
- Encouraging the transition from traditional farming styles to the entrepreneurial farming model,
- To raise awareness about urban agriculture and to ensure that urban agriculture practices become widespread in Ankara in ways that are suitable for spatial development,
- Strengthening the social and commercial interaction between rural areas and the city center by transforming Ankara’s countryside into a rural tourism destination with innovative and sustainable methods,
- Making plans compatible with climate change, encouraging waste recycling practices in agriculture and food and the use of renewable energy sources,
- Encouraging the establishment/strengthening of regional food systems in Ankara and strengthening food supply/value chain actors in the region in line with the goals and actions of “Türkiye’s National Roadmap Towards Sustainable Food Systems”.
Funding Information
- Program Budget: 6,000,000.00 TL
- Maximum Cost of Technical Support:
- Minimum Support Amount: 250,000.00 TL
- Maximum Support Amount: 800,000.00 TL
- Support Rate: A minimum of 25% and a maximum of 100% of the project budget can be supported as a grant.
- Project Duration: 6-12 months
