Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) is currently inviting applications from Cancer investigators, including epidemiologists and public health professionals for its Yamagiwa-Yoshida Fellowship program with an aim to provide a unique opportunity to carry out international research and significantly increase their knowledge and research skills, preparing them to better compete internationally.
Aims
- To initiate, set up or pursue bilateral cancer research projects with collaborating investigators abroad
- To exchange and exploit complementary skills and material
- To receive training in advanced experimental research methods and techniques
Funding Information
3 months International Fellowships with an award value of US$10,000 towards travel and living costs.
Eligibility Criteria
- The target of the fellowship will be appropriately qualified Investigators, clinicians, epidemiologists, and public health professionals.
- The applicant may be of any nationality and may reside in any country in the world at the time of the application.
- The applicant must have been awarded his/her PhD (or equivalent degree*) at least 2 years prior to the publication date of the call for proposals.
- The applicant must have track record in cancer research.
- The applicant must be engaged in an area of cancer research listed below.
- To permit effective communication at the host institute, the candidate must have adequate fluency in a common language.
