Deadline: 31-May-25
The Visegrad Fellowship Program offers funding of individual short-term stays for scholars, lecturers, and researchers (citizens of Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Ukraine) in V4 countries others than that of their citizenship and current residence.
The fellowships are provided for a limited period ranging from 2 to 10 weeks during which the respective fellow is to conduct (or participate in) a concrete research project, hold lecture(s) or seminars at a higher-education level, or study or review specific sets of written or other materials available in a public archive or library.
Eligibility Criteria
- Each applicant can submit only a single application form per deadline.
- If more than one application is submitted by the same applicant within a deadline, the Fund shall consider the first submitted and disregard all other applications.
- All citizens of V4 countries and of Ukraine are eligible to apply to work at host institutions.
Conditions
- The country of the fellow’s citizenship and residence at the time of applying—Czechia (CZ), Hungary (HU), Poland (PL), Slovakia (SK) and Ukraine (UA)—must differ from the country of the host institution in the V4 region
- The fellowship must be conducted in person; only in exceptional cases with limited mobility can the fellowship be awarded for remote research/lectures (and only with justification both in the application and in the invitation document)
- Potential fellows must either be either full-time doctoral students or holders of a doctoral degree (regardless of their affiliation at the time of applying)
- Fellowships can last between 2 and 10 weeks; the proposed length must be well justified and detailed
- The support takes form of a lump sum scholarship amounting to €500/week paid in two instalments (80% and 20% respectively)
