Applications are open for “The Public Health Leader Fellowship Program” to prepare underrepresented undergraduate students for leadership roles in the field of public health.
The Morehouse College Public Health Leader Fellowship Program (MC-PHLFP), which addresses the Healthy People 2020 focus area of Public Health Infrastructure Disparities in the Public Health Workforce, will teach the principles and practice of public health leadership by preparing highly qualified culturally sensitive undergraduate students for graduate programs in public and biomedical health sciences.
Benefits
- Throughout the duration of the internship, students participate in weekly forums with opportunities for learning about public health leadership challenges faced by accomplished guest lecturers with experience across a broad range of sectors.
- Students also receive weekly coaching support and participate in a leadership skills webinar series.
Eligibility Criteria
- Current junior, senior, or recent graduate (within one year) of an undergraduate institution
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
