Atlas Corps is now accepting applications from program and project management professionals to be considered for the Fellowship.
Fellows will develop their skills by serving at mission-driven organizations to design, implement, and/or manage projects and programs in the social impact sector. These Fellows will also support the Atlas Corps mission of strengthening U.S.-based organizations by contributing their international perspective and expertise to advancing social impact goals.
The Atlas Corps Fellowship engages global professionals committed to social impact in 12-18 months of service with organizations in the U.S. to learn best practices, build organizational capacity, and return home to create a network of global leaders.
- Candidates may use their skills and expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Program and Project Design and Planning: Creating annual and project-based work plans and schedules; designing program concept notes and structure; developing objectives and activities; maintaining a risk assessment matrix; facilitating an efficient resource allocation and budget planning process; and contributing to a program strategy.
- Program and Project Coordination and Implementation: Organizing and scheduling activities; monitoring program metrics and goals; tracking program budgets; facilitating communications about the program’s plan and implementation; developing program guidance and procedures; managing workflow across teams; and troubleshooting programmatic issues that arise.
- Program Learning: Conducting research on specific social issues to understand the latest trends and best practices; identifying opportunities for process improvements; enhancing programming tools and processes; and gathering insights and feedback from field staff.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining relationships with partners; corresponding with and supporting program participants and clients; organizing and facilitating meetings and events across the project life cycle; providing technical guidance and training in a social issue area; developing a stakeholder engagement strategy; and contributing to internal and external documents, including donor reports, project evaluations, progress updates, and external communication products.
Opportunities to Connect with Atlas Corps Fellows Globally
- Fellows will also participate in the Atlas Corps Global Leadership Lab professional development series to develop their leadership skills and engage in networking opportunities with Atlas Corps Fellows from around the world.
- There is also the opportunity to participate in group cultural activities such as a D.C. Monuments Tour, sporting events, U.S. holiday celebrations, and more.
- In addition to building connections with peers during the Fellowship, alumni will also join the Atlas Corps network of approximately 1,700 rising leaders from 116+ countries.
- Basic Eligibility Requirements
- Candidates for this fellowship must have a college degree, be highly proficient in English, be no older than 35, and be committed to applying their experience in their home country or region after the program.
- Candidates should also have two years of experience implementing and managing programs and projects, preferably in one of the following social issue areas: Child Rights, Civil Rights/Civil Liberties, Democracy/Civic Engagement, Disability Rights & Inclusion, Education, Energy/Environmental Issues, Entrepreneurship, Food & Security/Agriculture, Gender Issues/Women’s Rights, Human Trafficking, Law/Legal Assistance, LGBTQ Rights, Peace Building/Conflict Resolution, Poverty/Hunger/Homelessness, Public Health/Health Policy, Race/Ethnicity Issues, Refugee / Humanitarian Relief, Wildlife/Animal Welfare, Workforce Development/Job Training, Youth/Leadership Development.

- Familiarity with project management software such as Asana, Trello, Monday, Atlassian, Huddle, or Microsoft Project.
