The City of Cockburn is seeking applications for its Youth Art Scholarship 2021-2022 to support young people to access travel or further study opportunities in the Arts arena.
Funding Information
- The maximum funding available to any one applicant is $500.
- Applicants can only apply for one scholarship per year, i.e. Travel or Further Study.
- Applications that can demonstrate initiative and endeavour to raise funds for themselves will be considered favourably, as will those who source funding from other sources.
What can you apply for?
- Travel Scholarships are awarded to individuals who have the opportunity to study or perform within the arts arena interstate, overseas or outside the Perth metropolitan area.
- Further Study Scholarships are to assist young people with fees, materials or similar who wish to pursue the arts at University, TAFE or specialist art school (e.g. John Curtin) or extracurricular arts based activity.
- They are awarded based on results obtained from your current school with focus given in the area of artistic talent, teacher recommendations, and school and community participation.
Eligibility Criteria
Any person aged 18 years or younger as of the application closing date is eligible to obtain a Youth Art Scholarship in one of the following categories for an amount up to $500.
- Travel – Individual
- Further Study
