Applications are open for “The Roddenberry Fellowship”, which is a new 12-month program for activists from across the country who are working to protect the most vulnerable and to make the US a more inclusive and equitable place to live.
Launched in 2010, The Roddenberry Foundation is committed to finding and supporting remarkable people and organizations that can disrupt existing dynamics, challenge old patterns of thought, and discover new ways to help us move towards a better future.

Eligibility Criteria
The Roddenberry Fellowship is open to US citizens, permanent residents, or current visa holders in the 50 United States who are 18 years of age or older and who meet the following conditions:
- Agree to all legal terms and conditions of The Roddenberry Fellowship
- Meet all submission deadlines
- Submit the application in English
- Primary focus of initiative is US issues to include immigrant and refugee rights, civil rights, LGBTQIA and women’s rights, or climate change and environmental justice
- Available to make a twelve (12) month commitment to initiative
- Affiliated with, employed by, or hosted by a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, academic institution, or established volunteer group at the time of application
- If initiatives, new or pre-existing, have an annual organizational budget of $1 million or less
- Initiative does not involve any attempt to influence legislation or the outcome of any specific public election or the carrying on of any voter registration drive.
