The UNOPS Peace and Security Cluster invite interested and eligible applicants to apply for a Call for Proposals (“CFP1 for the grant project: Humanitarian Mine Action in Support of MAPA Operational Work Plan, Land Release with FORE and Marking Components in Paktya, Afghanistan.
Impact
- UNMAS Afghanistan has a vision that Afghan communities benefit from humanitarian and development initiatives unimpeded by explosive ordnance. To realize this vision, clearance and related activities are required in the project locations identified.
Outcome(s)
UNMAS Afghanistan seeks progress towards the following program-level outcomes in Afghanistan:
- Outcome 1: The DMAC manages a prioritized, principled, gender-responsive and efficient mine action programme.
- Outcome 2: Armed non-state actors (ANSA) do not impede the delivery of humanitarian mine action.
- Outcome 3: People at risk across Afghanistan recognize how to mitigate the risk of explosive ordnance.
Duration
- The proposed start date for the grant will be 1 May 2021, and it must be concluded by 28 February 2022.
Eligibility Criteria
- Upon the opening of the applications, UNOPS shall proceed to a Preliminary Examination of the applications to confirm that all documents and technical information requested in this CFP have been provided, and UNOPS will assess the completeness of each document submitted.
- Applications that are incomplete or contain material deviations from, or reservations to, the terms of the Grant Support Agreement and its General Conditions, may at the absolute discretion of UNOPS, be rejected or excluded from further consideration at any time during the evaluation, including after the Preliminary Examination.
