The Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIR) MeitY GENESIS Program offers aspiring founders and first-generation entrepreneurs the opportunity to build their startups with the right support ecosystem.
The focus of the program is on Electronic Design and manufacturing, Deeptech Software/products and ICT space, full-time UG/PG students with entrepreneurial pursuits or founders/co-founders of DPIIT-registered startups (≤ 2 years old), applicants who should not have secured significant external funding (> ₹10 Lakhs), potential for scalability and significant impact, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
The EIR program is designed to help innovators transform groundbreaking ideas into successful ventures by providing expert guidance, funding support, and infrastructure. Selected participants will receive mentorship from industry pioneers who bring deep expertise and insights to help shape strategy and execution.
In addition to financial assistance for kickstarting ventures, startups get access to incubation facilities that include co-working spaces and technical resources. This holistic support system builds a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem where participants can engage with like-minded peers, exchange knowledge, and accelerate growth.
The program is supported by Maker Village, a joint initiative between the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and IIITM-Kerala, offering a platform for entrepreneurial success. The application deadline for the program is 12th October 2025.
