Cancer Australia invites community organisations and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations supporting people affected by cancer to apply for funding under the Supporting people with cancer Grant initiative.
The Supporting people with cancer Grant initiative aims to support people affected by cancer through the provision of grants to organisations and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community organisations.
Community organisations and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations that support people with cancer are invited to apply for the 2022 Supporting people with cancer Grant initiative (Round 13).
The Supporting people with cancer Grant initiative will fund evidence-based projects to reduce the impact of cancer and better support people affected by cancer.
Funding Information
Applicants can apply for grants of up to $120,000 (GST exclusive) over a three-year period (2022-2025).
Eligibility Criteria
- Community organisations and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations supporting people affected by cancer are encouraged to apply to reduce the impact of cancer and better support people affected by cancer. Organisations must be able to demonstrate existing community linkages and or new partnerships. Consortia wishing to apply must identify a lead organisation, the lead organisation of all applications must be a community organisation as defined by the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet or an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisation. Applicants can only apply for one grant per grant round as a lead organisation.
- Organisations must ensure that they are eligible to enter into a funding agreement with Cancer Australia before submitting their application under the Supporting people with cancer Grant initiative. This means that organisations must be legal entities in their own right e.g. community organisations and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations. Individuals are not eligible to apply for this funding.
- Successful applicants will be required to sign a funding agreement prior to receiving any funding. Funding provided is associated with the achievement of milestones as specified in the funding agreement.
