The Alfred Kordelin Foundation is awarding grants to individuals, working groups and collectives in the fields of sciences, literature, arts and public education.

Categories
- Sciences – For the finalization of Ph.D work and for the beginning post doc -researchers: Grants are awarded to private individuals for final stages and finalization of Ph.D. work in various sciences, for beginning post doctoral researchers, travelling to congresses and work as a visiting scholar.
- Literature: Grants are awarded for work on literature, dramatic art and translating literature into Finnish. Project grants can be awarded to working groups and collectives.
- Arts: Grants are awarded for artistic work in visual arts, music, applied arts, handicrafts, photography, dance and video art, architecture, and doctoral dissertations in the arts. Project grants can be awarded to working groups and collectives.
- Public education: Grants are awarded for the production of researched and expertise-based information to the general public for non-fiction books, mass communication and for projects which promotes knowledge and key competences of lifelong learning. Project grants can be awarded to working groups and collectives.
Funding Information
The Foundation awards primarily personal working grants for a duration of 12 or 6 months, and with a maximum amount of € 24,000 or € 12,000, for work on science literature, arts and public education. Project grants can be awarded to working groups and collectives. A project grant can be max. €30,000, for a max. duration of 12 months.
