Tindall Foundation Funding
- This funding prioritises community-led initiatives that promote equity for tamariki/children, rangatahi/young people and whānau/families and are:
- Grassroots, community based.
- Put whānau/families at the center.
- Work holistically/provide wraparound support.
- Use kaupapa Māori models of practice.
- Are collaborative.
- Focus on long-term solutions and are outcomes focused.
Funding Information
- Taranaki Foundation Annual Funding
- Grants range from $500 to $5000 with the average grant last year being $2,000.
- Tindall Funding
- This year they have approximately $48,000 available for these donations, with TTF grants ranging from $500 to $10,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Taranaki Foundation Annual Funding:
- Applications must have a charitable purpose.
- Be based in Taranaki or deliver a substantial portion of your services in the region.
- Applications must be received from the entity that will govern and/or manage the activity being applied for.
- Taranaki Foundation accepts one grant application per organisation.
- Operational costs such as programme costs, project costs, wages, rent etc can be included.
- Tindall Funding
- Requests are accepted on annual basis and organisations may reapply in consecutive years.
- Please note that this funding is not generally available for more than three consecutive years.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Taranaki Foundation Annual Funding
- The Taranaki Foundation does not fund:
- Religious or Political advocacy.
- Activities primarily focused on fundraising or regifting.
- Core education.
- Individuals (except for scholarships).
- Activities outside the Taranaki Region, unless indicated by a specific donor.
- Retrospective claims
- Tindall Foundation Funding
- Tindall Foundation is unable to support the following:
- Core or public health services.
- Core education programmes.
- Research from outside a community without its direct involvement.
- Sport, leisure and recreation or the arts.
- Overseas organisations or projects.
- Overseas travel expenses, and exchange programmes
- Buildings or land.
- Animal charities.
- Capital assets or equipment costing over $3,000.
- Individuals.
- Religious or political advocacy.
- Venture capital initiatives
