Are you a group of Haringey residents, a youth group or a community organisation? Are you interested in doing something to support children and young people who have been impacted by COVID-19? or Are you a group of young people wanting to develop a project to support yourselves and/or your peers to overcome some of the challenges you’ve faced during the pandemic? Do you need funding to carry out your project?
If you’ve answered yes to these questions, Together We Can could be the funding for you!
Together We Can Fund aims to enable local people and community organizations to come together to take action and make improvements on the things that matter to them in their local area.
Through Together We Can, they are looking to fund community action projects that:
- Are developed and delivered by local people
- Focus on a solution to address the root cause of a local issue
- Help build community and share local knowledge, skills and ideas
- Inspire and motivate others to take action too.
Focus Areas
- The focus of this Round is on supporting children and young people (aged 0-25 years) who have been impacted by COVID-19.
- Projects may support any of the following areas:
- Physical health
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Play
- Social connection
- Learning and training
- Applicants will need to demonstrate that children and / or young people have either designed and developed the project or been actively engaged in its creation and design.
- Projects can be:
- Created by a group of young people from a local youth group
- Developed by a group of residents, perhaps coming together for the first time
- Co-created by a community organization and local people
- Developed and designed by a community organization’s beneficiaries.
Funding Information
- There are two Grant Funds available:
- Small Grants Fund: for applications between £ 250 – £ 1,000 (Up to 10 small grants will be funded)
- Medium Grants Fund: for applications up to £ 5,000 (4-5 grants will be funded).
- Projects must be delivered within 9 months of the award date.
Eligibility Criteria
- Constituted and unconstituted not-for-profit groups, social enterprises and charities providing support and services to Haringey residents
- A group of young people who have created a project to support either themselves and / or their peers to overcome challenges caused by COVID-19.
- Applicants who are under 18 will need to identify an organization to manage funding on their behalf as a ‘Supporting Partner’.
- Applicants who are an unconstituted group will also be expected to identify an organization to manage funding on their behalf as a ‘Supporting Partner’.
