International Visegrad Fund is accepting applications for its Strategic Grants Program to support project addressing annual strategic priorities of the Visegrad Group.
The program is aimed at fostering cooperation among the Visegrad Group (V4) countries (Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) via supporting major projects for sustainable regional cooperation and serving, inter alia, the development of civil society, the improvement of mutual awareness among the V4 societies, and the promotion of the V4 region in line with the annual priorities defined jointly by the current and the upcoming V4 Presidency.
Visegrad Strategic Grants with budgets amounting to €10,001 or more require an audit that can, however, be covered from the project’s budget.

- Brexit – implications for the V4
- Projects focusing on political, social and economic aspects of Brexit for the V4 region/ Central Europe
- Smart solutions for a smart region
- V4/V4+ projects aimed at supporting entrepreneur-friendly environment, smart industry and innovations
- Promotion of the V4
- Projects aimed at raising public awareness of the Visegrad cooperation with special regard to the Visegrad Group’s accomplishments among citizens, especially the youth; supporting mutual understanding between V4 citizens; external promotion of the V4 as a modern, creative & innovative region
Eligibility Criteria
- Any legal entity worldwide can apply for support within the Visegrad Strategic Grants.
- Visegrad Strategic Grants are awarded to multilateral initiatives whereevery proposal must involve an active partnership of the applicant and project partners from all four V4 countries.
- Consortium of organizations of which 3 or more are based in different Visegrad countries
- All types of non-governmental, civil society organizations (CSOs); municipalities and local governments; schools, higher education institutions; research and scientific bodies and public institutions are eligible as lead partner (applicant) and partners in the consortia
- Private entrepreneurs, companies with a legal entity, but only in areas not connected to their every-day business activity.
