The City of Charles Sturt is now inviting applications for its Business Support Program to support businesses in the City of Charles Sturt to adapt and innovate in response to changing market conditions.
Funding is available to work with an advisor on a range of projects including marketing, financial management, strategic reviews and operations and logistics.
Funding Information
- Up to $2,000 plus GST available per business and up to $1,000 plus GST for Sole Traders
- Businesses working collaboratively may receive up to a value of $5,000 plus GST
- Funding is limited to one grant per applicant per financial year
What can the funding be used for?
- Examples of how businesses could use a specialist advisor:
- Marketing – connecting with and growing your customer base
- Digital – improving your social media or website performance
- Technology – security, efficiency, supporting transition to online
- Workforce – dealing with industrial issues, staffing levels & retention
- Financial management – assessing cash flow difficulties, identifying cost savings
- Business review & viability – assessing current performance, identifying improvements, new business opportunities
- Operations and logistics – streamlining, looking for efficiencies, developing your local supply chain
- Environmental – increasing the energy, water and waste efficiency of your business, adapting for climate change
The Program does not Support?
- Advice to businesses unable to demonstrate hardship or an existing challenge as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic
- Advice to businesses outside the City of Charles Sturt
- Rates, utility or salary/wages bills
- General operating expenses

- Supporting businesses to adapt and innovate in response to changing market conditions
- Extends skills and capabilities of business owners
- Improved connection with customers
Eligibility Criteria
- In addition to the general program eligibility applicants must:
- Must be able to demonstrate hardship or an existing challenge as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic
- Have a current ABN within City of Charles Sturt
- Clearly outline the advice needed and how it will benefit the business in helping the business to sustain, grow or innovate
