BBC Children in Need and Youth Futures Foundation announce £6 Million Fund to Tackle Youth Unemployment – United Kingdom

BBC Children in Need and Youth Futures Foundation have partnered to launch the new Inspiring Futures programme, this new partnership will see each funder commit £3m to the programme which will support organisations working to improve employment prospects for disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

The programme is open to all charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations across the UK that are working with disadvantaged children and young people. They want to be assured that the needs of Black, Asian and minority ethnic children and young people are specifically addressed as they recognize racial injustice and the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on these communities. They encourage applications from organisations working within these communities.

The programme will fund a variety of projects that help children and young people to build the confidence and skills they need as they develop, supporting them to secure employment and fulfil their career aspirations. Organisations could deliver activities such as:
